We delivered a shallow geothermal exploration well the week before the UK lockdown began. TownRock Energy have been working for Glen Mhor Hotel & Apartments to help them develop an open-loop ground-source heat pump. The first big step we’ve taken is to drill this exploration well to test the water quality, temperature and flow. It was undoubtedly a success. Our upmost thanks to our lead drillers – Alan and James at HighWater – our on-site geologist – Mark Stacey at Geo2 Remediation Ltd. – and engineering partners Locogen. Also an especially massive thanks to our client who has the foresight to stick with the project despite the current enormous challenges facing the hospitality and tourism sector.
