We are delighted to announce that David Townsend will be speaking at this years All-Energy Conference in Aberdeen. He will be presenting our current research into the geothermal potential of Hot Sedimentary Aquifers in Fife and the Lothians in the Renewable Heat 2 forum on the 22nd of May.
See the program and other speakers at: http://www.all-energy.co.uk/en/Sessions/5337/Renewable-Heat-2
David was invited to make a half hour presentation for the Aberdeen Rotary Club. He took the opportunity to present passionately about climate change, both the predicted effects and mitigation strategies as described by the most recent IPCC report, and finished by talking about Town Rock Energy and our current developments. Despite the controversial and borderline confrontational tones of the talk, especially considering the audiences close ties to the oil and gas industry, the presentation was very well received and inspired questions and discussion to continue long after the scheduled end of the event.
An article outlining our ongoing developments has been published in the University of St Andrews Earth and Environmental Sciences Department alumni newsletter, and they gave us a whole page! Check it out on page 20:
