Today our team visited the minewater heating and cooling project in Springhill Nova Scotia. Having run for several decades it is one of the legendary examples of minewater heating and cooling. The main client is a plastic manufacturer that uses minewater in its industrial cooling process. Heat customers include a heated polytunnel owned by a charity for adults with learning disabilities. The project us currently expanding with help from the municipality by drilling two further wells into the mine workings to access a larger resource with the aim of expanding the network.
