We attended the GEO-Risk project workshop in Munich to understand the projects approach to better quantifying and understanding risk. The speakers were very interesting, albeit the representatives from the banks were not very optimistic that private drilling risk insurance would be backed again in the near future. The sharing of challenges and solutions between the delegates from France, Germany and the Netherlands was very useful to be a part of, and the information gained was types up and passed on by our MD to the Scottish Government’s geothermal policy lead.
