TRE conducted a pre-feasibility study for the potential of deep geothermal energy to provide net-zero heat energy to distillery operations in Scotland. The Scotch Whisky Association have set Net-zero targets for the heat energy intensive industry. The early stage exploration project assessed the opportunity and risk of powering the distilling industry via geothermal energy. The project is currently progressing into the second Phase.
