Glen Mhor Hotel and Apartments Pump Test Provides Live Entertainment

By October 23, 2020November 9th, 2020No Comments

TownRock Energy’s expertise was put on show in early October as our local drilling contractor HighWater carried out a pump test for our client, Glen Mhor Hotel and Apartments. The Inverness establishment, which recently reached its centenary, employed TownRock Energy to drill an exploration well in March 2020 (see Drilled an Exploration Well) and, following a COVID-19 induced delay, carry out a step rate and continuous rate pump test.

The pump test was overseen by TownRock’s Managing Director, David Townsend, and Engineering Director John Naismith who collected manual data from the well, river and two observation well points throughout the 6 day testing period. The activities drew interest from Glen Mhor’s restaurant guests who enjoyed breezy pints and food in the beer garden, which we commandeered a portion of. David and John wore two hats that day, managing the data collection process and carrying out public engagement in order to ensure smooth delivery of the pump test, no easy feat when well site and hotel guest must dine together.
